JANET MALENFANT

I am an artist working in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Narragansett, Rhode Island. My background is in both advertising and graphic design but my real passion is painting.
 

My artistic journey is a continually evolving one that has roots in graphic imagery but I also enjoy an interest in mixed media portraiture. This parallel pathway is part of my instinctual desire to try new things and explore creatively. Looking for unexplored avenues is part of the adventure and there's plenty of that happening in my studio. 
 

I'm inspired by vintage photography, nature, urban graffiti, museum trips, gallery openings, the energy of my artist friends and art supplies inherited by an elderly neighbor.
